School Visits

OM for schools

A visit to OM will get pupils (and teachers!) excited about the dark sky, astronomy and archaeology.

You’ll travel on a journey through time and space star hopping across the universe with  your very own star guide.  Students will learn about the landscape, the archaeological heritage of the Sperrins region and the nearby Beaghmore Stone Circles.

School visits

School visits are most welcome at OM Dark Sky Park and Observatory.  Students (and teachers!) will be amazed by our interactive exhibition linking astronomy and the archaeological heritage of the Sperrins, featuring holographic installations and virtual reality headsets.

  • A guided tour of the OM exhibition
  • Gaze through our solar telescopes
  • Learn about the connections between the stars and the stones at Beaghmore Stone Circles
  • Venture outside to the play planetarium

In order to maintain social distancing our tour capacity is limited. Contact us today to enquire about a school visit!
