Book a guided tour

Travel through the universe with your own star guide.

Star-hop across our solar system. Jump from the sun, our largest star, to each of the 8 planets in our solar system, use our touch screens to explore the objects up there in the sky, and learn how you can use binoculars, mini-telescopes and the naked eye to gaze upon our galaxy.

Go Virtual

Experience space and the night sky via the wonder of virtual reality. Simply put on your VR headset to witness the birth of a star, the mesmerising Aurora Borealis and more!

See the whole of the moon!  Mars has 2 moons and Jupiter has a staggering 67!  We have just one orbiting the Earth and it’s the brightest and largest object in our night sky.

View it as never before with our moon hologram and trace the lunar landscape, with its craters and seas, in our moon model.

Mysterious connections

Look up at the Milky Way, our galaxy with its 200 billion stars, winding its way above your head like a ribbon in the sky.

Ponder the mysterious connections between the sky, the stones and the seasons and see the scale model of Beaghmore Stone Circles.

Was this the first observatory at Davagh, constructed by our ancient ancestors over 3500 years ago to chart the movements of the sun and moon?  Or something else?

We’ll let you decide!
