Moth Trapping Morning & Guided Butterfly Walk.

Join us for our final morning of 2026, discovering the beauty of butterflies and moths in their natural habitat here in Davagh Forest, guided by Butterfly Conservation experts and our friendly staff. Discover how best to identify different species as we go through a moth trap left out the previous night. Afterwards, we’ll set off on a short walk to spot some of the beautiful butterflies and day-flying moths found in this special mixed habitat within the Sperrins AONB.

Learn about these fascinating creatures up close and enjoy some fresh air. Whether you’re a seasoned moth fan or just curious, everyone’s welcome. Bring your enthusiasm and a keen eye for nature’s wonders!

This event is open to all ages and levels of interest. Please dress appropriate for weather. The walk will be an easy level and over a short distance.
