August Wellness Experiences

August Sessions

This August OM have scheduled FREE well-being events, creating a space for you to take some time this summer and look after your health and well-being.

Breathing into Well-Ness: Saturday 1 August: 10.30AM to 12.30PM

Breath Work teaches simple techniques to improve fitness and restore well-being. This walk will involve a easy-moderate 2hr hike in Davagh Forest with easy-to-learn breathing exercises incorporated in it. Working through natural attunement exercises and Oxygen Advantage breathing techniques, Lorcan McBride will lead an accessible and engaging session with many take-home tips for maintaining well-being.

Forest School Experience: Wednesday 5 August: 10AM to 1PM

Far and Wild’s Forest School is an outdoor experience for children to develop competency in forest school skills. The session includes building a shelter, foraging, outdoor cooking and adventure games. Ideal for children and young people who enjoy outdoor adventure and families who wish to develop the abilities of their children to understand and manage risk on a safe and supervised environment and in a fun way.

Forest Bathing Experience: Wednesday 26 August: 10.30AM to 12.30PM

Step away from the rush of everyday life and immerse yourself in the calm of nature. Join us in Davagh Forest for a deeply restorative Forest Bathing experience designed to help you slow down and reconnect with yourself.  You will be immersed in the woodlands to take part in a series of sensory meditations; sound, smell, sight, touch and even taste to help you slow down and reconnect with nature in a very deep and profound way. The immersion will be led by Tony Bailie who is one of the few qualified Forest Therapy practitioners working on the island of Ireland.
